Our Purpose

Open Arms Personal Care exists to fulfill the steadily growing need for personal care services delivered to seniors and disabled persons. The services we offer help enhance the lives of seniors because they are not quite able to do for themselves as they once were able to.

Our Vision

At Open Arms Personal Care, our vision is to offer our clients a chance to continue to live in a familiar environment rather than a facility. The ideal is to keep their lives as comfortable and stress-free as possible. Plenty of patient education and encouragement will be offered to assist in living a healthier lifestyle. A sense of autonomy is essential. With continuous support and choices, we envision our seniors feeling like a vibrant part of society despite the disabilities.

Our Story

For Doreen Larkin and Georgia Freeman, what started as an idea, has grown into a reality. As nurses, the founders saw the need to assist the elderly to remain in the community and live productive lives with some assistance. One of the founders became ill as a younger person and was unable to function the same as when they had better health. As their health improved, they realized how great a need there was for someone to assist with simple activities of daily living.  Open Arms Person Care Inc. was born from that experience.

A note from the founders

We want to let you know; we are called Personal Home Care because we want to provide a service that is unique to each home we enter. Our business started upon the idea that home care should allow you to do the things you love most.

We care for every client as if they were our family. We make decisions based on how we would treat our family. Trust is something that we earn and is our priority to our clients. We provide the very best personal home care possible, and we give the very best customer service to those we serve.
